An open letter to the leaders of Canada’s political parties from the CCAAC and Campaign 2000 (February 2010) Liberals and NDP responded to the open letter. The NDP issued a media release calling our open letter “right on the mark.” Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff wrote us a letter reiterating his public commitment to building a national child care program.
An open letter to Canada’s parliamentarians (October 2009)
Letter introducting a major study released containing evidence that investing in the child care sector
is the biggest job creator and provides one of the highest GDP impacts of all major sectors in Canada ($2.30 of economic output for every dollar that goes to programs).The study, Understanding and Addressing Workforce Shortages in Early Childhood Education and Care, was conducted by respected economist Robert Fairholm of the Centre for Spatial Economics in Toronto and was released by the Child Care Human Resources Sector Council.

Open Letter to the Men and Woman Who Lead Federal Political Parties (Election 2008)
Canada comes in last among 14 similar countries in spending on early learning and child care programs, according to a report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In this letter, Code Blue is calling on all party leaders to commit $1.2 billion for early learning and child care programs in the first year.
