Keep the Child Care Promises Campaign
As of June 28 th, we have a minority Liberal government with 135 elected Liberal MP’s, 19 New Democratic Party MP’s and 54 from the Bloc Québécois sitting in the House of Commons in Ottawa. Together, all of these MP’s can use their political will to support legislation and public spending to build a child care system for the children of Canada!

Prime Minister Martin and the Liberals will be seeking “parliamentary partners” from the other major parties on an issue-by-issue basis to ensure at least 155 votes, a voting majority, for legislation to pass in the House of Commons. Top priorities will likely be established in August.

We must be sure that Prime Minister Martin and NDP leader Jack Layton hear a strong message from us! We need to ensure that the federal parties keep their child care promises!
