Child Care Policy: Making the Connections is a project of the Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada. This work will be undertaken between November 2004 and October 2007.

The project will focus on the child care related Federal-Provincial- Territorial (FPT) agreements – the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Agreement, the Multilateral Framework Agreement and any new child care agreements reached between the federal, provincial and territorial governments.

Making the Connections aims to support communities and the federal, provincial and territorial governments to better understand and analyze early learning and child care policy and investments.

It is especially designed to be of interest to and support the child care community (child care workforce, parents, researchers) and all other interested groups and stakeholders who are familiar with current child care policy and who are interested in analyzing and commenting on investments made under these FPT agreements. The project will promote the development and implementation of an effective and publicly accountable pan-Canadian child care system.

If you are interested in becoming more familiar with a wide range of public education materials focused on child care in Canada, check out the tools and resources on the Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada web site.
